    Linkin Park & DailyMotion are working together to give French fans the chance to win some great prizes. All you have to do is create your very own video for The Catalyst and upload it to DailyMotion by September 23rd. Watch Brad & Mike talk about it here.

    Here are the prizes you could win:

    - A meeting with the group in Paris 25/10/10
    - 2 seats for the concert in Paris Bercy 25/10/10

    How To Participate:

    1 - Download the free 90 seconds of "The Catalyst" here.
    2 - Create your own video on this 90 seconds version.
    3 - Post your video at www.dailymotion.com/contest/linkin-park before midnight Sept. 23 deadline.

    Terms & Conditions:

    - Participants must reside in France.
    - Must have a DailyMotion account and fill out an entry form.
    - Video created by entrant must be a personal creation (the participant must hold the rights to operate the video in which he participated in the contest) and shall comply with the following technical constraints:

    - Maximum file size: 150MB

    Tips for your videos:

    - MP4 formats (H.264), MOV, WMV, AVI
    - Resolution: 640 x480 or 320x240
    - 25 frames per second (fps or frametape)

    The members of Linkin Park will choose their own favourite video and announce the winner on or before 10.18.2010.

    Well it's a little foolish to not provide airfare and accommodations. By basically limiting it to the wealthy (i.e. people can afford the tickets) or people within France, they're cutting out a HUGE percentage of potentially great entries. Most people don't have airfare for France just lying around.

    I really hope LP/WB decides to pay for airfare and accomodations for this contest. It would make this contest explode in popularity.

    Seems like it could be fun...but I'm not going to spend time doing it. Too busy and no way I'll have time to go in the first place

    From what I understand by reading the T&C, you have to reside in France to enter.

    Yep that's what i understood too. I guess Martinique or other "french" places are not integrated tho.

    Personally I could care less about this. Even if It was international. No amateur can top the real thing in 90 seconds.

    I guess they should start hoping that there are some budding French Video Makers out there who have some free time. :lol:

    Just as I'm about to fire get all excited and fire up my Vegas Studio HD Platinum and my cameras... I realize... oh yeah. I'm not French.

    I have quite a lot of ideas for it, but I can't make it happen...I was thinking of a Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six Vegas set, where soldiers are trying to save the hostages (aka. the band) and while they are running through the empty streets you can see on high displays, broken tv's the guys singing etc. - in the meanwhile the band tries to escape, then the soldiers shoot (slow motion + moh clip style) and then when lift me up, let me go comes there is a huge bomb exploding (more a waterbomb, atombomb) where first everything is been pushed away by the massive pression and then there is a bright light coming closer and filling the whole screen and everyone and everything vaporizes... bla bla bla.


    well I live in france, I have the french nationality and we have a house down there (government still believes my mother lives in there) but lol, im going to their concerts on the 26.10, 27.10 and 29.10...that would be too much (I highly doubt I would win either)

    anyway I wanna see some entries really soon :)
