If you think Chester's lyrics are over produced in the song, then you must not have heard all of Meteora.
This. Except I do believe that was on Warner's part. I think they were pretty iffy about taking the jump with the new Linkin Park and decided to pick that sound for it's appeal to what made the band so big in the first place. Anyway, my thoughts on this song REALLY improved after listening to it's entirety. Do me a favor, and listen to this on a stereo or in a car with a good set of subwoofers. The bass makes so much of this song, in my opinion. I like this progressive direction they're heading towards, my only con being that the lyrics could have changed on a vaster scale. repetitiveness aside, this sounds great. It took an hour to find a 320 kbps version of this song, but I can truly say it was worth it (I've got the album pre-ordered, so don't guilt trip me).
He yo...!!! New Member...!!! Just registered..!!! Man <3 this song...!!!! Its off the hook...!!! Linkin Park did a great job...!!! Rick Rubin helped producing it...!!! 3 cheers for u man..!!!! Can't wait for the album..!!!! I wanna hear linkin Park LIVE.....................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
The song is completely sick, I love it! epic, the new album will blow our minds! anyway, I'm still waiting for Derek's opinion on the track
I fucking love the instrumental but it's just way too repetitive. Some songs work good like that because their paced in a balanced way that makes it not as noticeable but this song, eh, it takes a whole lot away from the experience for me. It really wouldn't have been that hard to come up with different lyrics to the same melody. In my opinion and all honesty it all feels like laziness from LP's part. Even so this is infinitely better than anything on Meteora and the instrumental is fucking bad ass.. The synth is killer, the breakdown is amazing, strings, I really hope someone plays them live. So 7.3/10
My money is that Derek grabbed a box of tissues and went to the bathroom with them. Now, it's up to your imagination to think of what he's doing with said tissues.
Guys, from what I've been getting about this album...it's not a very commercial CD. This song in itself is even a bit risky for radio, but it was the best "first single song" they could find on the CD. And not only that, it's stronger than What I've Done. So if this first song is the "weakest" track on the album, I can't wait for the rest. This is a proud day to be an LP fan.
Love the synth part. For me the ending was too long and needed something more epic, otherwise one of my fav linkin tracks.
just listened to it on the radio, I was sitting there with my girlfriend (big LP-Fan as well), and we were just looking to each other like wtf? I think it was the first time ever I didn't get a LP-song with first listen. Now, I've listened to the song for about 20 times and I have to say that it's freaking awesome. Although I'm more into rock than electro, I have to say that I love the song structure. I had my problems with the techno-like part (dont blame me on using the word techno, it reminded me of scooter ) but thats all gone. This song is a grower!
My favorite part of the song comes when piano starts. Mike's done a great job singing Lift me up, let me go. Such a beautiful melody, proceeded by Chester's penetrative voice and grandiose background singing. Loud and different, specially in the beginning. Pure highness.
Nice track, Different,,,,I'm not dissappointed But frankly speaking,,,,i liked the iLL Audio remix better.... Hoping for the best with ATS. BTW.... my first post
