Seriously man quit trolling. If you knew ANYTHING about Rick Rubin as a producer you'd know he's more of a guiding voice than a hands on in your face producer.
I don't feel like over-analyze this so all I will say is that it is good. Also. My email came at 2.40 EST? 40 minutes late because I pre-ordered last night and processing took a bit... or did everyone get it 40 minutes late?
the catalyst sounds amazing for me... when I heard the medal of honor trailer I first thought: "uhmmm I don't know - thats not what I've expected"... but after hearing the official version on bbc and some minutes later on 1Live (german radiostation) it sounded great! I think the official version is more "rock-like" than the moh version and all in all it sounds great!
I think my favorite part, aside from the ending, is when Mike and Chester sing together in the first chorus (I think?). The first time they sing about burning inside the fires of a thousand suns. They never really sang together, just one backing up the other, until now, And I must say, they should have done it sooner.
FYI - I was just told the song doesn't go to iTunes in the UK until September 6. Not sure why, but that's what they told me.
I like it, I would love it though if there was just more to it vocally. The vocals are simply too repetitive and monotonic. Not to mention Chester's are so overproduced
So what you think Don Gilmore forcing "old" LP style down their throats over and over and OVER would be better? Rick Rubin is legendary for a reason, just stop trolling.
