This is fucking up my eyes, but I'm looking forward to Turning Blue from listening to this record . I liked El Camino, so we'll see.
"I'm not really into their music, but the fact that they're making it, I respect that." JK, this song is alright. I wasn't even aware they were making an album. So this came as a surprise...
Reading the youtube comments reminds me of Linkin Park fans demanding "Old Linkin Park" back. lmao. Every fanbase has this shit. On a higher note, really excited for the new album.

First track was really boring. I enjoyed the 2nd a bit more. I've found that I usually like their material for awhile but it wears out really fast.

The Black Keys have gotten really boring to me. I was a pretty big fan for awhile between Brothers and El Camino but aside from 2-3 songs on here, I didn't hear anything that caught my attention. EDIT: Didn't realize I made another post in here earlier. Not trying to beat a dead horse
Well I just listened to my first complete run through. I like it, but I'm not crazy about it. I like the instrumentation on almost all the songs, I just need to go back and listen to the lyrics a few times to see if I really really like it or not. Some of my favorites are "The Weight of Love", "Up to you Now", and "Gotta get Away" because the beginning riff sounds like Glory Days. Anyways, if give it a strong 7-10 based on my first listen, and am optimistic that that score will rise
I love this album. Part of the reason might be that I've never listened to another Black Keys album, so I don't have any context/expectations to deal with.
Yeah I really liked El Camino, and that was my first Keys album! However, I do like the concept and sounds of this album. I have a feeling I'll end up liking Turn Blue more! It took me a while to get to where I liked El Camino.
Hey guys. Sorry if it's a late post, but is this album worth it? I heard from many people that it's both great and disappointing. I'm thinking about buying it.
Why don't you download a free copy and listen to it? If you genuinely like it then buy it I personally love the majority of it. Lot of fun blues/pop-inspired rock tunes.
Turn Blue is worth the money since I do like to listen to psychedelic music ever now and then, but I still think Brothers and El Camino were more enjoyable.
