Yes, but... Meteora was released in March and Confession in October... and the lines are basically the same, so I highly doubted it's a coincidence.

Bach defnitely made the most complex thing out of that principle.

    Pity he just copypasted it.

Why would they do something that obvious? Ok, maybe they listened to the album, liked it and that just reflected in the studio. Ok.

The lines are barely similar. Like I said, they were in the studio at the same time; Confession was delayed some months, or it would've been released around the same time as Meteora. I was following that particular album cycle for Ill Nino because they were one of my favorite bands at the time.

Opening rap verse sounds like it was ripped off of LITE's 2nd verse and sped up for this track.

You are right, the final passage of the verse is kinda reminiscent of LITE's one.

dangerkids haven't been shy about citing LP as influences. The first song by them that I was shown included a shoutout of sorts

To me, their stuff is cringeworthy but that's just me. Sort of hypocritical since I like Linkin Park, really, but, then, a lot of LP songs are kind of embarrassing to me as well

Ok, this comment was a while back, but you can't really say that Lifeless...Life was a rip off, they came out only a few months from each other, they couldn't of copied Lying From You in time to record and release it.

Almost the exact melody of Crawling's chorus. Bring Me The Horizon is know for having influence by LP, the main singer loves LP.

As a fan of both bands, I agree that you can hear some influences from LP in BMTH's music, but Empire sounds nothing like Crawling. I get where you are coming from with the connection, but its not really there.

The first few words of the chorus have the same melody as Crawling, but it changes after that... so I wouldn't call it a rip-off...

Hey man, you don't need to feel embarrassed about the music you listen to. You like what you like, especially if it really resonates with you. I've listened to LP's older music countless times and I just don't feel embarrassed over the "cringeworthy" lyrics, if they really can be called that. The lyrics of HT and Meteora can be very simple and cliche at times, yes, but that doesn't make them cringeworthy to me personally.

1:40 sounds like they ripped off Faint's bridge

This song was literally already addressed in this thread.

That being said, that song was my jam 3 years ago when it came out.
