no probably not, but she is still entitled to live. that's like saying, "well okay, since this person will be paralysed and have brain damage, we should do away with them. regardless if they want to live or not." i mean, she won't be perfectly okay, but she'll be with family who really love and care for her. minus the husband. he's a dick.

i mean, you really can't draw a line as to when a person is to brain damaged to be allowed to live. that's just ridiculous.

Personally, I think that if someone has been hooked up to a machine to live for such a long time, being 15 years, what's the sense? Terri's unable to think, interact, communicate, move, and all the other basics of life. As has been said, the person who was Terri is dead. The body that is Terri is being kept alive artificially. Let her body die, like her mind did fifteen years ago. There is no hope for recovery, the husband has the right to choose for her, and that should be it.

I just cannot comprehend why so much attention has been paid to this by the media. This doesn't affect us in any way, so why should we care? It's a personal matter (and I'll add; NOT a government issue), and it should be left at that.

They have nothing more to report.

Remember when the Judge got shot not to many weeks ago? That's a great example. They spent a whole days worth of other events and information focusing on a judge and 3 others who were shot.

There's nothing to report on Iraq anymore so they have to find the small things and make big things out of them.

Even though she's gone now i still think that she should be given a chance to live.

i mean..so what if her life is supported by some machine? shes still alive.

    just my two cents worth.

Not she stayed alive with the machine, but her body did.

It's good her body finally died.

Don't mean to sound like a jerk, but it's about damn time. [/b][/quote]
I said the same thing at school while we were watching the news. People think I'm a dick but, really, what was the point of her living like that?

    Same.

I'd say Rest In Peace, but she's been doing that for 15 years.

Rest in Peace for Terry. I'm glad she is relieved of her ordeal with her sickness, and I'm even more relieved that her feuding parents can finally shut up about her husband Michael.
