    *bangs head against a wall*

She was a woman, who was in a coma. Her husband wanted to pull the plug, her parents didn't. The husband won in the end. So now she gets a holiday (well, kinda)?

I don't think anyone is still grieving about this, other than those involved.

Only Congress can designate national holidays. I wonder if they even know that.

With that said, she didn't sacrifice her life for their cause. She didn't even know what was going on, and probably wouldn't have even cared. I'd even go so far as to say she wanted the plug to be pulled.

I've learned (from my own family) that more than 90% of people who are faced with the decision of pulling the plug or not actually want the plug pulled. None of them want to live being supported by a cord.

Who the hell do they think she is? Some kind of martyr? They should get off their high horses.

For Terri Schiavo Day I did an impression of her.

Seriously though, is anymore talk of her all that necessary?

   !

I'm with you, Todd. They were acting completely rediculous while she was "alive" and now that she's dead they're trying to make her a martyr or something. She was quiet while she was really alive and would be against all of this crap, I'm sure.

What the hell is the point of this anyway? She was so gone that her brain is one of the smallest on record. There was no hope.

I don't understand this...do they think that anyone who dies should get their own special day? Or is she just special because of the law suits and excessive media coverage?

    People are crazy.

what about all of the other people that this happened to? honestly i don't agree with what happened in this situation, but there are so many other people that go through this. What makes her so special?

It doesn't, but it rallies the right to life base. This is all a political ploy to try and exploit the situation. Thankfully common sense prevailed last year with our courts.

I agree with Todd though, her parents need to be put down as well  That was too funny.

It's stupid she should get her own day. there have been many people in this situation, but none of them get this treatment. But fairplay guys, blaming the parents for loving their daughter..? If she was your daughter, would you just say 'Yeah. sure. Just pull the pulg'? i know i sure as hell wouldn't. i'd want to hold on to any hope i had left. Though you are right, there is a point where you just have to let go, you just can't blame them for loving their daughter..

Why can't we just let her rest in peace? I don't think this is necessary at all.

All not in favor of this? Say I.

    "I."

Sorry. This whole thing was a situation that was blown out of proportion by the media. Terry was an anoxeric. Doing this condones that behavior.
