Taproot have been busy working on their new album for the past couple of months, and there are rumours floating around that the band is planning to head to Chicago shortly to record a collaboration with Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan fame. They are also said to be working with Stephen Carpenter of the Deftones on a new track as well. The new album is expected to be out later this year, possibly in early-to-mid summer. [Edit] Just a side note: Carpenter is the guitarist for the Deftones, and layed down the guitar track for Linkin Park's "By_Myslf," which was included on "Reanimation."
Thanks for the news! I love Taproot. I hope that is true. Billy Corgan is one of my favorite singers. I really loved the Smashing Pumpkins.
Interesting. I never knew that. :wth: Edit: What I meant was, I never knew Stephen Carpenter did the guitar work for "By_Myslf". Not that I didn't know he's the Deftones guitarist. Anyway, this is awesome news. I got "Welcome" recently so I can hardly wait for the new album.
Taproot sure do have alot of songs that are just one word. Probably gonna pick up their latest album soon..
Haha, yeah they do.
Mine, Myself, I, and Poem goes "This song is a poem to myself" Seems a little self-centered too dont they.
So far I have heard "Mine" "Poem" and "Again & Again" and out of those my favorite is a tie between Again & Again and Poem. Is there a song that sounds like the songs I just named by them. I would buy "welcome" and "gift" but I am broke.
Screamo? How in the world do you figure?
Well...he screams a fair bit in some of the songs..
