http://www.takingbacksunday.com/news/2009/05/11/watch-sink-me I don't really care for the video but I am pretty partial to the song itself.
Ooooh I love this song! The video looks like it was fun and messy. Good stuff. I cannot wait for their new album to drop.
Yeah, it seems as though their next album is going to sound more like their first than the other two, only... poppier? Plus, for better or for worse, for the most part it seems as though Adam is genuinely the lead vocalist now with Fazzi and Matt doing backing vocals, instead of them essentially having two lead vocalists. I like it though. I thought I'd miss Fred but going by the songs that have been released so far I don't think I will too much.
Sorry for the double post but they've added another new song, Everything Must Go, to their Myspace player. http://myspace.com/takingbacksunday New Again Sink Into Me Catholic Knees (live) Carpathia Everything Must Go are the songs that have been released thus far.
I hated sink into me at first but it grew on me. Everything Must Go will prbly be the best track on the album. I'm excited for the album but have low expectations as to not get angry by it.
Everything Must Go is good, definitely not the best track IMO, Carpathia, Sink and New Again are all better than it to me.
So, the album's leaked. A lot of AP.net members are slagging it off but I pretty much expected that anyway, regardless of whether it turns out as something I like myself. I like all the songs that are out so far, and that accounts for almost half the album so hopefully it's good.
I don't know how people can hate on an album, after just one or two listens, when it's released by band like Taking Back Sunday. With these sort of bands you'd have to be familiar with the songs before you really start enjoying them, yeah?
On first listen I like it. Besides Capital M-E the songs they released before the leak are still my favourites, although I guess that's down to familiarity as much as most other things. Even if the rest of it grows on me I'm still pretty sure they happened to release most of the better songs first though. But yeah, Capital M-E is a really good song. The lyrics are pretty scathing towards Fred (as apparently that's who it's about), but the music is so innocent sounding.
People on ap.net hate almost everything, lol. So their reaction is no surprise to me. I love the album. My personal favorites are "Lonely, Lonely", "Swing", and "Where My Mouth Is". Love, love, love this band.
Yeah. Specifically, a good deal of them hate anything that comes from this band that isn't Tell All Your Friends, or to a lesser degree Where You Want To Be. In any case, I like this album quite a bit already and a few of the songs are still growing on me.
