System Of A December

System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian recently commented to MTV regarding the bands upcoming new album, here's what he had to say:
"We're in the thick of it still, doing a lot of overdubs. It's going great. I'm happy with all the songs, the diversity of it."
In addition Tankian recently tracked a new song with Tom Morello and Brad Wilk of Audioslave fame and will be posting it online shortly. He elaborated on it, saying:
"We started jamming and we did this little jazzy piece with poetry over it and it turned out cool."
At present System Of A Down's new album is eyeing a December release date via American/Columbia.

It said the album is coming in November on the SOAD websire...

 

somehow I think you're thinking of the Axis Of Justice Comp. CD that has APC, SOAD, Audioslave, etc. on it.

 

Tom Morello? Good, maybe SOAD can have a new song with good guitar sound.
