    System of a Down is now planning on a April release for the first of a two CD set titled Mesmerize

    I guessed they switched things up!

    ya i guess they did. and they moved the realease date back too. thats crap... :p but at least they are still giving some new material...relatively soon.

    No it isn't. I'm pretty sure it's about people thinking they're better than others. They're mocking those people.

    but the lines "we're the propogators of all genocide, burning through the world's resources, then we turn and hide" makes me believe it's about america. america can be viewed as an ignorant nation who does not realize the genocide it creates, and it is most definitely the most wasteful nation. i think the song is about a more specific group of people than "all people who think they're better than others". plus the mediA doesn't waste resources, but i can see celebrities and the rich doing so.

    America is media-central. Obviously talking about the media is going to be linked to the US somehow. And the US media is the most guilty for the stuff they're talking about in the song.

    It's not about the people of America, it's about their "if it bleeds, it leads" newscasts and fixation on Hollywood.
