After hearing the iTunes stream, I can again confirm this is my favorite album ever. I should mention although LP is my favorite band, post-hardcore is my favorite genre of music (I doubt I'll find anyone here who agrees on that), and this is the closest LP will ever be to that kind of music. And ATS is my least favorite LP album for that reason, I'm really not a fan of experimental/ more electronic music (I do like it though). So this album blew me away, it's everything I could've ever hoped LP to do.
I took to ATS immediately. There was no "growing on me" with that album. The synths, the detail, the build ups, the vocal harmonies... Pure sonic bliss for me. I connected. Living Things was definitely meh... But the cd is still in my car and I have some songs that I jam when the time is right. I don't see that being the case on THP...
its ATS then its big void (living things was not impressive at all) and now linkin park shows once again what they're capable of
This album blew me away last wednesday, and it did it again today. Could easily become my favorite LP album... Favorite tracks: - Keys To The Kingdom - War - A Line In The Sand
The singles/songs they have released officially for THP fit perfectly and provide a different/better feeling when listened as a whole.
I'm on Rebellion right now, KTTK is so weird that I somehow loved it, KICK ASS SONG!! Got some nice nostalgia on AFN, this one will grow on me for sure, nice song. WAR, THIS SONG IS CRAZY AS HELL, I still don't know if I hated or loved it hahaha Aaaaaand Mark The Graves now, wooooooooooow this is great!!!
So rating the albums: 1. HT 10/10 2. ATS 9.99999/10 3. Meteora, THP 9.58/10 4. LT 8/10 5. MTM 6.79/10
I'm really digging War as well.. But there's so much going on in the whole album I can't say anything by memory at this point.. I don't know how people managed to remember stuff from the listening party... Haha. I'm loving this, it's familiar but different.
If I had to choose bright spots from what I just heard : AFN FM RBLN But still- I don't see myself sitting on my porch, kicking back, and drinking a 6 pack to this. I've done that for ATS so many times I can't even count. That's how I grade my music- can I kick it to this?
I'm in Brazil and I'm listening right now on iTunes Change the store location to USA if you can't listen
This album has no mercy on you, leaves you so fucking dizzy and confused and shit. Punchs you every damn second, the only calmed parts are on Drawbar (so fucking beautiful), Final Masquerade and the start of A Line In The Sand (the rest is fucking madness).
No, I'm on the USA iTunes! Go to the extreme bottom of the itunes store, click on your country's flag and there you will be able to swith the location to USA
