I noticed that this guitar riff by Brad in the THP Extended Trailer is nowhere to be seen in the album. (starting at 0:12) http://youtu.be/yNbiIkIWpZM?t=12s
These lyrics from THP Trailer dont exist in any song. YOU'RE TERRIFIED TERRIFIED YOU'D RATHER THROW IT ALL AWAY ALL AWAY YOU'RE TERRIFIED TERRIFIED YOU'D RATHER THROW IT ALL AWAY
Great Album ! Im a relatively new fan (since 2006) And this has been my favorite album since then.I think they fused the heavy hard sound of Hybrid Theory with the mature sound of ATS. Keys to the kingdom - 9.0 No words to describe this masterpeice. All For Nothing - 8.5 Brilliant song, reminds me of Faith No More. Guilty All the Same - 8.5 ,Under rated song The Summoning - 7.5 War - 7.5 Not my kind of song, nevertheless a great song. Wastelands - 7 ,cliche'd song Until It's Gone - 5.5 repetative lyrics ,and please dont compare it with crawling. Rebellion - 9 - two words Daron Malakian. Mark the graves - 9.5 -Love The Bass,Love the vocals, reminds me of blackout and she coudnt for some odd reason.Sounds like it could be from HT-EP Drawbar 8 - could have had more Wah Wah Morello. Final Masquerade - 8.5, Brilliant song could be their road to chart success this album cycle. A Line in the sand - 8.5 That Victimized Riff haha,i think they did that on purpose.
Tried that. Still doesn't work. I want to listen to the stream because of the higher quality. It worked for Ghost Stories a few weeks ago.
If it was a soft song all along I guess I would like it more. It just sounds a bit weird to have heavy guitar riffs followed by soft vocals followed by heavy riffs etc. the dynamic shifting is too much for me
Obviously, you've never listened to great 90s music that used these soft-loud transitions. This is seriously Linkin Park doing what they said they were doing, bringing inspiration in from bands they grew up listening to. Examples of bands that used these soft-loud dynamics include Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. Coincidentally, both bands were name-dropped in Brad's recent interview with some guitar magazine.
That's what I love about it, brings me back to the good ol' ATS days. I remember people finding Blackout weird as well because it ended on a soft note. I love unexpectedness in my entertainment.
I actually enjoy Blackout as a song. MTG is the only song on THP that I'll be skipping. I've tried listening to it 7 times already and I just cannot get a groove to it.
anyone feel that the kid's voice at the end of keys to the kingdoms mike's child ? because after the kid's voice, mike said "don't do the other thing"
Been streaming THP and now Rise Against just released the first single off The Black Market. Crazy good.
