So, anyone else gotten Page Avenue yet? I just picked up a copy (I could have been cool and gone 20 minutes out of my way to a CD store on Page Avenue and get the CD but didn't) and it kicks ass. So, yeah, you should all go out and buy it. It's 10 bucks at Best Buy (sale is probably over today)
You are awesome. I got it on Tuesday. Me and my friend got the last two in our mall if not our town. They didn't even have any at Best Buy when I went but someone that works there said they only had 2 left at Newbury Comics but those were all gone. I paid 13 at FYE for mine. I think Page Avenue is incredible. Sidewalks is an amazing song and Phil did an awesome job writing it. Since you live near St. Louis, did you go to the cd release party at the Pageant?
No I wasnt able to go [/b][/quote] Oh well if you did I was going to say you could have got the cd their just for going. Have you seen them live? They are so great.
Just got it last night, and it's awesome! I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but as of right now my favorite songs are The Hero Will Drown and track 6 (can't remember what it's called :wth: )
What are they like? Are they hard rock like most of Todd's tastes in music? That's what I'm guessing anyways. Give me a song or two to download and I'll check them out.
Song 6 is Swallow the Knife. I can't exactly described them. They are kind of a mixture of everything. You have to see them live. Some good songs are Sidewalks, Dive Right In, and In the Shadows. If you can't find those just click on the pic in my signature to listen to some songs off the album.
I'm pretty sure they're sticking them under the "screamo" label (also given to bands like Finch, Glassjaw and Poison the Well). I wouldn't call them "hard rock"...Lots of satisfactory screaming though
I think it would have been better if Feldmann didn't produce it. He always puts that "sound" into bands records. In other words, see them live.
