Story Of The Year is a great band. I bought their CD when I first heard they were touring with Linkin Park. Their CD is awsome! I was suprised when I heard how good they were! You can compare them with bands like: Finch, The Used, and Mest. I found this cool player that plays their songs and videos. too bad Story Of The Year sounds like every other generic corperate pop punk band that has came out during the last 2 years, huh? They suck. <_<
it's just my opinion though. I know alot of people on the boards love them. Meh. I don't really like anything anyone likes here. It's all that #### MTV plays.
I've seen Until The Day I Die or whatever on MTV late night. You're right about no music being played on MTV, though.
If MTV was actually not bias towards other genres of music, and didn't only play 1 or 2 main types of music I'd be fine with them. Instead the play the 'music', using that term very loosely here, that's popular. Even MTV2 is turning this way. A good example of that is Headbanger's Ball. Playing Staind on the Ball?! They get enough air time! Play stuff like Killswitch Engage and Lamb Of God instead, hell.
well the bands that dont get played disown the mainstream in a way and think its some sort of criminal offense to get any exposure on MTv and what not (like when Metallica made their first video and how the fans were out raged and tossed the term 'sellout' around more than a beach ball at Daytona).
I first heard of SOTY last July on Warped Tour, and let me say they are AMAZING live...probably one of the best bands I saw that day. That said, I thought their album was kind of generic. There are a couple good songs, yeah, but...it's just nothing new. I'd go see them live again in a heartbeat though.
Yay another SOTY thread! I love Story of the Year. I heard of them last April when I saw them with the Used. They blew me away by their energy they had in their performance. I have seen them 5 times since then and they get better and better everytime. They are the nicest guys ever. I have talked to at least 2 of them after every show and they stay and talk to all of the fans. They always get compared to a lot of other bands that have been around like the Used but they were around awhile before the Used when they were Big Blue Monkey. I hate comparing them to anyone and I don't think they even sound like the Used. Feldmann produced both of their albums so I think that is why it often happens. They are getting so big now. It is so weird to me. Back in April I bought their EP and I never thought that success would happen so fast. When Page Avenue first came out not too many people knew about them. I haven't seen Until the Day I Die on MTV either only on Fuse. I like the older version they had on the EP. I already hear people saying "OMG like the singer is so hot". It makes me so mad because it seems like the music doesn't even matter anymore. The LP tour is going to be a great oppurtunity to the guys and I wish them all the luck. Sorry I could go on forever about these guys.
Who ever is going to a LP show; who are you guyz more excited to see: Hoobastank, P.O.D., or Story Of The Year? I, personally, am more excited to see Story Of The Year, than Hoobastank or P.O.D.> But, I'm most excited to see Linkin Park. I'll be seeing them in 7 days! On Jan. 20th 04!

I dont think so. The Matrix Revolutions thread was bumped recently, because some new news came up involving the movie.
