Kind of? No, i feel like a kid again excited. This was the computer game that got me into computer games.....YES!
haha yeah supposed to come out in 2002, delayed repeatedly, and cancelled mid-2006. my older brother was so excited about that game. it looked good in the beginning, but then they scrapped all the good characters and they made it look stupid.
Okay, so basically, they built the game, decided they didn't like the engine, so they scrapped it. They rebuilt it with a new engine and it was intended for an Xbox PS2 release (Not sure on the PS2 thing, but it was going to be for Xbox), and then Microsoft's all like, "We want this on the 360", and Blizzard was like, "Fuck you". Then it got scrapped.
lol I just watched the trailer and it looks really good! If I have to pay for online though I wont be getting it
Not really, from what I understand. The game was scrapped because it sucked, quite simply. Blizzard wasn't actually developing most of the game, they only lent help to the development team at Nihilistic. Nihilistic's version was utter crap (they and Blizzard argued over a lot of design decisions which Blizzard didn't like), so Blizzard took over the product with a different development team that they later bought (can't remember the name, I'll Google it later), and the game was just too dated and hemorrhaging money from Blizzard, so it was "indefinitely postponed," which is a pleasant way of saying it was canceled. I'm not sure where you got your information about the engine or the release, but I suppose it's possible, in conjunction with what I just mentioned. I've never heard any of that before now, however.
I saw the gamepla video, it looks a LOT like WC3. And I mean A LOT. It seems like they took SC1 and added the WC3 graphics engine and maybe added a few more units. =\ I still like CNC3 tbh.
Then again guys, It isnt in Beta version, So they could remodel things, update the graphics, change mind on the new units. What im really interested in is the story line! 8D The protoss looks like there more..a Mobile force, alot of outposts possibly because of the phase prisms. I hope the Terrans New units come out soon, I always ALWAYS love'd how you'd win a war of attrition by rines and bats, Wonder if they'll change that.
I have the original game and the expansion, I dont play them much though. But when I used to play it, I liked it alot. But they better not make this game cost like 70$. Also for some reason there are graphic errors in starcraft for me when I play on XP, I dont know why.
