This is the problem I get when I try to play a file in WMP. My speakers don't work, but they're pluged in, not being used my another program, and all drivers are updated.

My computer did crash when I was listening to music and I had to shut it down via power button.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Oh and no sound is coming through. And it says that there's no sound device detected on my computer.

If your speakers aren't connected, it's a driver problem. You probably have the wrong drivers installed.

They're connected now for some reason. But I'll check my drivers.

Alright, so basically my computer crashed again, but then I restarted and it works. It did this before and it was able to work for around five months, but then it started again.

    Start>>Control Panel>>Sounds And Audio Devices

Then goto the 'audio' tab. Make sure 'default device' is your sound card.
