So slim, it almost disappears when you turn it side-on. A bit like Kate Moss then. Details, specs and images inside Well, here it is, Sony's new, sleek PlayStation 2 boasting rather sexy looks and slipping onto shelves in Europe and the US on November 1 and Japan on November 3. Recommended retail price for Europe is 149 euro (approximately £100), for the US $149 and for Japan it's "open price", meaning retailers can set their own price point. Internal architecture has been redesigned for the new PlayStation 2, resulting in a slimmer (as you can see from the pics on this page) and less weighty design. Apparently, internal volume has been reduced by 75 percent, it weighs around half that of the original PS2 and, by the way, the 'face' is only 2.8cm, as opposed to first PS2's 7.8cm. In our first test run we'll chuck one out the window to see if it floats gently on the breeze. Plus, the redesigned model features a built-in ethernet port for network gaming. And the US version comes with an extra modem port too. full.story:[here] =-= I want one.
I saw that thing earlier, it looks pretty neat, even if a little similar. I'll most likely get one to add to my over-flowing collection of gaming gear.
i would get it, but like tempest said ps3 is gonna be out before you know it so its pretty much a waste of money IMO. PS3 *Drools*
fraid not. 2006 is the year. And rumour says that GTA: San An might be bundled with it to give the xbox two big punches to the face.
Pretty nice. They love doing that with playsations lol. I got two PS1's and one is tiny. I would get that if i didn't already have a PS2...
I think I could get this then. *just bought one last friday* At BestBuy they have this thing for consoles where if it breaks you can get it replaced free of charge, or if the next system comes out you can exchange it and pay the difference.
Are all the new systems coming out next year? If so, when?
Nintendo Revolution is hinted 2006, but Microsoft's Xenon is probably going for a late 2006 or an early 2007 release.
Nintendo Revolution is hinted 2006, but Microsoft's Xenon is probably going for a late 2006 or an early 2007 release.
Oh really, Xbox Xenon thats such a dumb name, why dont they just call it the Xbox 2. I thought nintendo was pretty intent on having their's as the first system out. How many bits are these new systems going to be?
I think Nintendo and Microsoft are rushing their new consoles. PS3 will have been in development for 6 years when it comes out. With only 3 years for the others.
