Post here what songs you'd like to see them cover whether live or on a possible covers album. Try not to make the suggestions too daft eh. Here's my list: Alice In Chains - Nutshell Guns 'N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mind (Full Cover) Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall Chris Izzak - Wicked Game Deftones - Change (In The House Of Flies) Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence (Perhaps Mike's remix) The Doors - Break On Through (To The Other Side) Drowning Pool - Bodies Faith No More - Evidence Hoobastank - The Reason Metallica - Nothing Else Matters Motley Crue - If I Die Tomorrow Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man Pearl Jam - Jeremy Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge U2 - Vertigo
Guns N' Roses - Paradise City ACDC - Highway To Hell / Whole Lotta Rosie The Police - Every Breath You Take
Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine Hoobastank - The Reason/Crawling in the Dark Evanescence - Bring Me To Life The Black Keys - Till I Get My Way AC/DC - Highway to Hell/Back in Black (Could Chester pull that off?) Aerosmith/Run DMC - Walk This Way (I think that this'd be a fun cover) White Stripes - Seven Nation Army The Beatles - Eleanor Rigby/While My Guitar Gently Weeps/Yesterday Cake - Never There (Fun cover, Mike would do the verses, Chester chorus) Flyleaf - Fully Alive Gary Jules - Mad World (Chester vocals, Mike piano) Hydroponiks - Hardly Breathe (With Mike rapping) Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit Oasis - Wonderwall Puddle of Mudd - Blurry And anything by Breaking Benjamin.
I like these 3. I still stay they could pull off a wicked cover of Enjoy The Silence live. Mike does a keyboard intro and they pwn it. It's sooooo realistic. There's a song from The Cars and another from Fiona Apple that LP & Phoenix wanted to cover lol.
oneRepublic - "apologize" (mike can do that. haha.) deftones - "combat", "digital bath", "elite" or "hexagram" depeche mode - "enjoy the silence" nine inch nails - "big man with a gun" or "you know what you are?" dead poetic - "paralytic" (mike doing the verses) usher - "yeah!" (you know you wanna hear it!)
Fuck yeah, Breaking Benjamin is sick. In particular I'd choose "The Diary of Jane" by Breaking Benjamin.
Anything by G N' R or AC/DC actually. Chester could pull those off amazingly. Camp Freddy stuff for example
Fightstar // Floods MuteMath // Chaos Funeral For A Friend // Streetcar Duran Duran // A View To A Kill
Metallica - I Disappear Iron Maiden - Children of The Damned Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That feeds Slayer - Angel of Death (lol...If they can!) Marilyn Manson - This is The New Shit
Asle Bjorn - Lucky You (accoustic cover) t.A.T.u. - All The Things She Said Outkast - Miss Jackson Robbie Williams - Come Undone Whitesnake - Judgement Day U2 - New Year's Day
A7X - Almost Easy MJ - You Are Not Alone Within Temptation - What Have You Done GnR - Sweet Child Of Mine Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence NIN - The Hand That Feeds Colin Hay - Overkill (Would be great if Chester sings it) Stone Sour - Through Glass Terrance and Phillip - Uncle Fucker Poets of the Fall - Locking Up The Sun Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah Incubus - Megalomaniac/ Drive
311- anything.. but in particular i guess creatures(for awhile) System of a Down- Sugar Chili Peppers- Suck my kiss Radiohead- Paranoind Android Nirvana- In Bloom Muse- Map of the Problematique Zeppelin- Communication Breakdown
I think it'd be hilarious if they covered one of the songs that's always mislabeled as being by them on P2P networks, like My Reason by Spiritfall or Body Crumbles by Dry Cell.
Haha is it true that Dry Cell released the second version of that song with their singer in a lower voice because they were tired of people mislabeling it as LP? I heard this somewhere and I didn't know if it was actually true. The original version sounds a lot like Chester though so I can understand some of the confusion
To my knowledge, I don't think any of it was done with LP in mind, although Dry Cell was a band that Jeff Blue (the same guy who sort of "discovered" Xero) managed, so he may have been trying to create the next Linkin Park. The older demo version of Body Crumbles is the one people get confused with LP, so it's anybody's guess why they changed it.
