I wanted to order this online because I wasn't planning on going Best Buy for a while but it's sold out. I guess I'll have to make a special trip out.

Really? Ah well, I haven't been keeping up to date with the band. After the brilliance that is LPU 8.0 however, I'm gonna keep a tight watch on the band's movements again. :D

..the beat of the drum goes round and round..

I know it's not that expensive but seriously.. It's like a greatest hits EP only without any hits..

It seems a bit off, the reason people join LPU is to get CD's with tracks that no one else will have so to just turn around and start selling the songs at Best Buy is a bit of a slap in the face to those who're on LPU.

Well I'm an LPUer and I ain't bothered! Seriously, this almost has all LPU's best songs in one CD!!!! - like Dusan said, its a greatest hits CD without all the hits on it!!! XD

Basicly "the best of" their unrealeased album tracks kinda like a B-sides/raritys album.

I SO would get this if i lived in the US :(
    Nevermind... maybe ebay then.

I agree with this. What's the purpose of the LPU then? Being a member myself it irks me quite a bit.

But then again, maybe they are doing this to try to get more people to join the LPU. By showing what members get in terms of music, someone might think that they would like in on the exclusive stuff from the LPU.

But once they join they'll find out it sucks because it was only good in the early years, lol.

There is no such thing as exclusive songs today with torrents, youtube and shit.. I was a member in the LPU for just one year and I still have the songs from all the CDs. So yeah, the people who feel like joining the LPU can do it to support the band, but they will get no exclusive material from the bad, just a new lousy t-shirt every year :)

Yeah. Most of these songs are ones I'd imagine most LP fans with internet access will have already heard anyway. It probably only matters that much if you want the actual physical CDs, and it's not like they've started selling those to people who aren't actually members. Likewise most of the people who actually buy this will probably be diehard fans and/or collectors.

I meant like, a physical copy.

On another note, I'd probably get this CD if I could but only because I'm not in the LPU.

Yeah, physical copy is a good thing but only if you're a collector.
I, for example, bought the original MTM CD but I think I've never played it. I already had all the songs downloaded and it was easier for me just to put them in winamp and play them. But to each his own I guess..

I dont see why you would base your renewal solely on the CD.

IMO, even though 6 of the 8 songs are ones that were already released, and you already have the live version of My December if you keep up with the live show downloads, this CD is worth getting for Hunger Strike alone. It's both far better quality and a far better performance than the video on Chris Cornell's Youtube.

It seems like Best Buy went to a handful of artists to put out EP style CDs for a low-price for Thanksgiving Weekend. 3 Doors Down now has a 6 song greatest hits CD there, so does Nelly, Stone Temple Pilots, and Weezer. Sixx:AM and Disturbed have live CDs with around 6 tracks. It seems to me like LP wanted a more original idea and gave the fans outside the LPU a shot at some new tracks. (If they hadnt heard them)
