I don't think it's fair to hate people for opinions and personal taste. Should I hate you because you don't like metal? I don't think you'd find that very fair.

Be considerate of these things. Opinion is ubiquitous when it comes to music, and hate is an awfully strong word to use for something so trivial.

Judging music based on how heavy it is is fucking stupid. But LP do make better soft songs than heavy songs. But heavy isn't bad. Origin of Symmetry by Muse is mostly loud and aggressive from start to finish and is better than nearly all of LP's music.

I think the general lesson is that volume is not indicative of the quality of music. Volume is a matter of preference.

You really have a tendency to post your opinion as if it was fact in everything you say. I for one believe that while Linkin Park does make more consistently impressive soft music, a lot of their all-time best songs are in the "heavy shit right here" category. But again, that's just my opinion.

I made it a tie. I voted soft. Dont get me wrong, the harder songs is what attracted me as a 16 year old fan. I'm 30 now and the angst just isnt there. A scream here and there no problem but I tend to listen to FM and UIG more so than anything on THP. Just throw me ATS part 2....

ATS part 2? No i dont think so, even chester said they could do 1 million songs like iridescent and it wold get boring.
A line in the sand is the direction that LP should go in, you get that ATS vibe with the HT Energy. Its one of LP's best work

I don't know if "The Hunting Party" is really that comparable with "Hybrid Theory". The guitar tones, drum tones, the riffs, rhythms, vocals ... none of it really harkens back to early Linkin Park.

HT is more Nu-Metal and THP is more Hard Rock, ALternative Metal (i am not an expert in this genres , so this can be stupid)

I never compared HT to THP , because isnt possible imo. Two different kind of genres, so i dont understand people who say ("YOU SAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY") that "OLD LP IS BAACKKKZ". This is just wrog.

They failed at creating soft songs on THP, which I really don't mind, but it's a fact worth pointing out. Final Masquerade was soft but Chester shouts some of the words in the chorus, making it not that soft, as well as Until It's Gone.

That was the point. Make it soft, but not too soft. This album isn't supposed to be your everyday herp derp rock.

    Sometimes, I like it soft.

    Sometimes, I like it hard.

But every time, I like it.

I'd say heavy LP just because i like heavier music (not necessarily metal)
but i just feel that softer style(blended with electronic music) suits them well nowadays more than heavier style
their heavier music lacks better guitar work and a bit more audible guitar solos like other heavy bands
