    SLEEPWALKING- by Tommy Raymond

    VERSE 1
Would you change your life / if i told you its a game / nothing but a fallacy / so don't be afraid
Would you keep your faith / if i told you we're asleep / blind to every fact/ about this constant dream
Would you open up / if i told you we need love / if this is how you live / you will rise above
Would you look around / if i told you to learn / if you see the meaning / nirvana you'll earn

    PREFRAIN
but here's a paradox for you...
    yeah, here's the catch 22...

    CHORUS
Because you can't wake up, wake up, wake up
because you can't stay awake, awake
when I'm alive i see hallucinations
I'm always asleep, I'm living in a dream...

don't you know that we're all sleepwalking
(this life's not what it seems, i'm falling in my dreams)

    VERSE 2
Would you hold my hand / if i showed you the way / to a new oasis / where we will rise awake
Would you still be blind / if i was a light / illuminate the meaning / in the dark of night
Would you run away / if i had my flaws / although no one's perfect / no one's what you dream of
Would you drown yourself / if i was a lake / and i was the meaning / EVERYTHING IS FAKE

    BRIDGE
And they all say that ignorance is bliss
Is our life supposed to be loved like this
And they all say that ignorance is bliss
Is our love supposed to be lived like this

Give me a kiss... because i don't know shit
If you tell me you're smart, then i tell you this:
    We're oblivious, and we're idiots
Especially you if you don't realize this.
You're not intelligent, you don't think deep
We're all blind, and we're all asleep
You can't wake up, you can't escape the game
Life is nothing but a dream!

The first verse tells about four religions that I can understand, in order, by line: Agnosticism, Epistomology, Christianity, Buddhism

The Prefrain and Chorus disagree with anyone who says that we can find the meaning of life by ourselves.

The second verse mocks my old lover, who thinks that someone better than me will fall into her arms. Everyone is ignorant, and no one knows anything meaningful, and love is just the mutual exploration of this world, so, bottom line, she's a stupid bitch who can't see her own selfishness.

The Bridge has the same message as the chorus.

YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING, AND YOU NEVER WILL. IF YOU REALIZE WE'RE ALL IDIOTS STUMBLING AND SLEEPWALKING THROUGH LIFE, YOU WILL BE SYMPATHETIC WITH THOSE AROUND YOU AND, EVENTUALLY, LOVE EVERYONE. YOU ARE AN IGNORANT HUMAN BEING, AND YOU WILL NEVER BECOME GOD. DON'T LEARN, JUST LOVE.

haha, sometimes i feel that way, but then again many people are very loyal to their own culture and beliefs and don't want to accept another, which i respect (to an extent). that's why i tried to incorporate a few religions in the beginning and show that anyone who says we can reach heaven or eternal bliss by becoming "all" knowing is ignorant and doesn't see that humans are idiots. The view that humans are smart and have the capacity to learn everything is conceded. but being respectful to a divine being that i believe must have created the infinity of the universe out of nothing is honorable. thanks for the comment!
