Not gonna lie, I hated Shadow of the Day at first. Now, it's my favorite song on the album.
i think that SOTD will make everyone realize the changes that LP just make and how they·d grow up, its a good choice... but i was expecting the video of Given up, No More Sorrow, In Pieces or LOATR instead... Hopefully one of these going to be...
I had no idea why Lying From You was a single. So I guess that explains why LP only kept Lying From You from LIT on their YouTube page of the concert and why they've always played it since Meteora. That's cool because thats one of my favourites from Meteora (fav Metora live ).
instead of "little things" , it will be "in pieces" or "in between"
coz these songs got a new style
probably will be these two songs
Okay, not my favorite off the album but it's still a really good song. My idea for it is a good one too I think. I think it's better than my Hands Held High Concept. I might type it up..
I really doubt that "In Between" will be a single, and i can imagine that at least half of LP's fanbase wouldn't take it well!
Hopefully, In pieces, or a heavier song will be the next single, finishing off with "LOATR".
im really really happy they're picking sotd. imo it's definitely one of the better songs on the cd, and definitely the most electronic. and as for the video, i can sorta see somthing like numb...but the song definitely has a "snowy" feel to it. i just hope there not dressed in there motorcycle gang uniforms humping mic stands in the middle of a snow field
I had some problems with this song at the beginning, but now i love it and imo it is a good single choice. Also it sounds good live.
Can`t wait to see the video.
For the next singles, i`d prefer LAOTR and In Pieces.
YAY! My favorite song off the album so far. Like Andrea said, I also hope that the video represents the song well.
Shows how bad the album is.
Well I'm not happy with this, it's just not a good song, and I can imagine the video being very cheesy! Will see.
I reckon though that LP will release the first five songs on the album, mark my words.
at least i will last more than 3 mins...
Looks like they gave up on the Given Up video...oh well Shadow of the Day video can't be all that bad. It's a slow song and it probably can bring up some fancy ideas.
Hmm, only two singles left. I really hope IP is one of them.
Maybe you're/I'm uninformed, but i believe the deciding of singles has little to do with the band if any, the record label decides, and U2 are one of the biggest bands in the world and the label would be quick to jump on a similar sounding song for a single if there was one.
Although I believe the label is taking a risk by releasing a slow poppy song, because it may cause fans of linkin park's previous records who are still undecided as to whether they will buy the album to decide against buying the album and therfore losing potential money and hardcore fans.
Yes it`s a bit risky, but on the other hand, if some fans of LP's previous records haven`t bought the album yet, i doubt they will at all and this song won`t change that considering all songs are on (one example) Youtube and the album is out for nearly 4 months.
I think this single can only attract new fans because most of the "old" LP fans have already made their mind about this record.
If all goes well with the nice video and good promotion, this is a potentially big hit.
I hope for something like a crawling video. Not like the same but something that combines a studio performance with a different storyline. I'll be angry if they pull a video where the band isn't seen
Good, they're finally releasing one of the songs that doesn't sound like old LP.
Now, let's just hope it's a hit. BIO doesn't seem to have been, I haven't heard it once on rock radio, though I'm told it's been played on the pop stations. Odd.
well Shadow of the Day was the first song from MTM that i listened to and i can't wait to see the video for it ...the only thing i can say is
YAY a new video YAY
i always imagined this video to be shot in the snow...
