You could try........ to search for it. I was going to blast you but eh. I'll be nice. Search for the topic. It's been done to death.

There are def. some other similaries...Certain structures and bridges.

But if you don't see it, why force yourself to? You'll probably just end up enjoying the album less.

That is very true (for me at least). I thought Meteora was a pretty good CD but after reading countless arguments I've liked it less and less. After taking a hiatus from all LP boards the CD sounded great to me.

I've posted a topic on this. I think that it still remains an "LP" sound. The lyrics are different and the samples take the music to different directions.

I was just listening to HT today and I can notice a similarity in some of the songs. I could see a few songs fitting in on the Meteora album and vice versa, but all around I can see the differences and I can see them so much that I still love each album as if they're complete opposite.

Yeah I mean what were people expecting? Yeah they are "hybrid" but most bands don't drastically change up for the second CD. They just try to keep the fans they had the first time around and make some new ones. I mean if they seriously did top HT with Meteora I would have freaked. I really didn't expect them to. Song similarities? Of course. Do I care? Not really. There's always CD 4.. 5...6... The only I hate about Meteora is it's way over-promoted. 6 singles.. live album/dvd... a freaking book.... Damn. Move on.

    I agree completely.

I actually went through a period last summer where I really hated Meteora, but I took a big break from LP and the LPA (this is around the time I started to get more into punk) but by the fall I had "made peace" with Meteora and again started to like it and get addicted to the LPA...

And if the paragraph above wasn't coherant I apologize, but I'm tired...

I never really noticed a simalarity in them. Brad's way better with guitar in Hybrid Theory but in Meteora it sounds like he doesn't even try as hard.. they definently went with a different sound when they came out with Meteora. The only song that seems similar to one of the songs on Hybrid Theory is 'Somewhere I Belong' but that's only because of the rapping and then the singning in between.

    Somewhere I Belong:
(When this began) I had nothin’ to say and I’d get lost in the nothingness inside of me (I was confused) and I let it all out to find that I’m not the only person with these things in mind (Inside of me)

    In the End:
(It starts with) one thing, I don’t know why. It doesn’t even matter how hard you try. Keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme to explain in due time (All I know) time is a valuable thing. Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings. Watch it count down to the end of the day the clock ticks life away (It’s so unreal)

That's about it pretty much, to me.

In the end does note resemble SIB whatsoever. Where in the hell does Brad make a good riff in in the end? No place, that's the answer, SIb has that bridge

yeah i do think its similar to hybrid.
These are the songs which i feel are similar to each other-
    DON'T SAY-ONE STEP CLOSER
    SOMEWHERE...-IN THE END
ANYWAY ITS NOT THAT I DIDN'T LIKE METEORA BUT I AM SOMEWHAT DISSAPOINTED WITH IT AS THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SONG IN THE ALBUM THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER.NUMB IS ALMOST A POP SONG BUT THE APPROPRIATE LYRICS MAKE UP FOR IT
