In case some of you aren't familiar with Sigfreid and Roy, they are a pair of magicians who do shows in Las Vegas with live animals like white tigers and such. Last friday, spectators watched in horror as a white tiger clamped its jaws around Roy and dragged him off the stage. After all this, he also had a stroke. Suffering from the blood loss and the stroke, Roy is fighting for his life in the hospital. This is quite sad as the pair are a well known and respected duo in the magic community. Get well soon Roy!/
I heard about that just yesterday on the news... it's so scary. They had some theory that Roy wasn't focused on what he was doing and it made the tiger unfocused and this lead to it turning on Roy. Hope he's ok though!
I heard about that. I feel bad for Roy but that's the price you gotta pay with working with animals. Animals can turn on you in a second and put your life at risk. Anyway...I do hope he survives.
I think it was an accedent.......an instict to a adult cat (mother or father tiger) when it's baby falls is to pick it up by the scruff of the neck, Sigfreid and Roy have been raising the tigers since they were born (the tigers) and they have a certain bond to the people ( we are our cats or we our our dogs, people.... ) so when Roy fell the instict was to pick him up and get him out of the way, which he did. The only wounds on him were the puncture wouds from the cats canines. If he wanted Roy dead he would be........plus Roy would have him euthanized, due to dangers......Roy words to Sigfreid before he passed out were "Don't hurt him" so anyways.......I believe it was an accedent. But I wish the best of recovery for Roy Horn.
