Anyone else thing he should sing alot more? His singing in In Between, Iridescent, The Catalyst and Burning in the Skies are amazing. My favourite singing from Mike is the end of Blackout and No Roads Left

I love Mike's singing. But I also love Mike's rapping.

More singing = less rapping. Idk which to choose :(

Fuck yeah he should. He's got a beautiful voice and the vocal interplay between him and Chester sounds awesome in songs like BITS, TC, and WFTE. The second verse of WFTE is probably one of my favorite moments on ATS. And of course you can't forget the beauty that is No Roads Left.

I like his singing in Burning In The Skies, No Roads Left, The Catalyst and Blackout. I'd like him to sing on some of the new songs.

Yes, but I'd like more experimentation with the vocals in general. Like how they branched out with his singing and Chester's vocals on ATS. Don't just sing to sing, make it artistic and meaningful.

Is this even in question? Yes. Duh. His voice is cool and contrasts with Chester nicely.

Yes. I think he has great voice. But I'm not sure if he's cut out of live singing performances. Yet.

Well I like his singing voice, but I'm fine with the amont of time he does it on ATS or MTM. I mean, if he was singing more, he would end up being the lead vocalist of the band, while Chester still has more talent than him imo.

So, my answer is : no.

I would say, no. Only because Linkin Park is singing and rapping. I wouldn't like if Mike didn't rap anymore. I like Mike doing some songs singy though, nice switch up.

Your worried that he will become the lead vocalist if he sang more? No way. Mike has too much stuff to do to be a lead vocalist while Chester only plays guitar while Mike does so much more.

    ????????
Mike singing doesn't magically shut him out of rapping. The thread is asking if people like more singing, not a total takeover.

QFT. Mike already jokes that he's got his own little one-man band within the band. He can't put all of that down to do the lead singing. His other instruments are cool too.

Mike singing doesn't mean taking over. It means exactly what it says on the tin. More singing and just that.

I think the point is if Mike is singing more, obviously Chester is still going to be singing...where is the rapping going to fit in? I'd like to see them take a step back and do more rapping over all on a record (seems like Living Things will address this a lot).

    Ditto :)
Like his singing voice, too, but I'm fine with the amount he sings. I think he should definitely sing on Living Things, but I want to hear him rapping, too. Chester's only real instrument is his voice (he plays the guitar and the piano a bit, but I want him to focus on singing). So I think I'm okay with the amount of Mike's singing and I don't want him to do it much more than that[, before he gets Chester's job. ;D].

Whenever he's not singing or being preoccupied with anything else. Or wherever it sounds the nicest.

I wouldn't mind hearing a song where he does both singing and rapping, I think that would bring more flavor into the mix.

Yes. I think his voice adds a nice element to the songs. He's a lot smoother vocally than Chester is so it brings a little softness in which is an awesome contrast.

:ditto: Yes, he should sing more, that doesn't mean he can't rap as well. It's not one or the other. Some of the coolest stuff about ATS is his singing IMO, it really adds another layer to their sound.
