I'd love to see some remixes of these songs along side a possible meteora remix album (maybe even remix the EP version of high voltage). What are your thoughts?

Yeah I was going to say that. I don't think they should be remixed like Reanimation. But remixed audio wise. It'd be cool to hear them with better studio guitar and drums parts and such. But the EP is a pretty polished album. I don't really think they wanted it 'too studio'.

Yea, as long as they don't re-record it, I'm fine.

Maybe some. Some tracks just aren't meant to be remixed. Maybe the artist wanted it that way.

That is true but then why do so many artists do it? Why make reanimation? The only way to know if a song is going to reach perfection is to creat different versions of it,wether it flops or not is something else but then again you've always got the original song.

As a musician (with and without a band) I support that way of thinking. I usually make two or three of the same track. With different arrangement, instrumentation, EQ or mixing. To me Crawling reached its potential when remixed. Should there be an EP remix? No. That CD is too far gone to remix now. If I was in there shoes and decided to remix it I'd go crazy trying to perfect the old lyrics and melodies and things like that. Like Mike (or Rob I think) said during the mixing, after working on a song for so long you just have to let go and not mess with it anymore. My favorite artist NIN does remixes of all his albums and no matter how much I love his music truthfully 70% of them are crap. You can over mix a song in my opinion. I'd rather not have LP wasting anymore time with the old and forge ahead with new ideas.

Man waking up early has giving me a newfound clarity. I should do this more often.

I think the songs on EP are already awesome, and remixing, I doubt would make them sound better. However, I would love them to redo the songs, except in a better studio to make it sound better!

    I think it isn't a good idea...

They are songs that almost no one has heard about....They could put it as a LPU cd though...

But I don't think it should be remixed...They are some of the best LP songs I've heard in my life, why bother to make another "reanimation"?(Reanimation is a cool album, but as everyone knows the original is the best)

After all, Warner controls LP, and they do everything they want with LP...They were the ones that made Mike talk instead of rap...
    Sad but true.... :(

    Actualy i'd disagree with that
I reckon alot of people including myself prefer some of the remixed songs on reanimation for example I know alot of people here would say they prefer the reanimated 'pushing me away' and my favorite song is the reanimated 'by myself'.I hated reanimation at first but after listening to it over and over it grew on me and became my favorrite album. So in some cases yeah the originals are better but in some cases not...

Another remix album would be pointless. If LP want to release any more official remixes, they should use them as b-sides.

Nothing that LP produce in their music is pointless, thats what music is,Creating something that you have a passion for and spreading it out to other people so they can enjoy it as much as the creators do.Its not about making something for nothing and its defenatly not something thats just for the cash as too many people think.

BTW let me clear something up:When I said another remix album I meant a new album with maybe some remixes of HTEP or Meteora.

if LP were to make more remixes [especially to songs that werent actually released (HTEP)] they lose more fans, like during Reanimation [only made me a bigger fan]
