Ok so I've heard Second Chance, and I like that song OK. Then I saw someone post Call Me in a different thread. I need some recommendations from you guys as to what Shinedown songs are the best. Maybe in the same vein as Call Me? I really really like that one.

Honestly just go on Youtube and search.
It's hard to predict what you will like.

Amaryllis is such an interesting album. Half of the album is great (Enemies, Through the Ghost, My Name), while the other half is just terrible (Amaryllis, Miracle, Bully).

I know right? At least we can both agree on Steven Wilson's music. :)

The entire Leave A Whisper album is GOLD. 45, Simple Man (cover), Fly From The Inside, No More Love, In Memory, Lost in the Crowd, Crying Out.... try all of those. If you're looking for the lighter or more radio-friendly songs / hits, then try these:

If You Only Knew, Save Me, I Dare You, Burning Bright... just for starters.

They're a pretty decent band. I saw them in concert last year and they put on a kickass show.

Out of all of their albums I would recommend The Sound Of Madness. Not a bad song on it. The reissue is a little bloated with all the bonus tracks though.

Yeah I liked Shinedown back in 04' and 05' before they were cool :headbang:

Anyway, my favourite album by them is Leave a Whisper (I'd hold it up along with Hybrid Theory as one of my most influential albums growing up). A post-grunge rock album full of great riffs and brilliant melodies. A classic, capturing an almost "fire in a bottle" sound. My favourites:

    Fly from the inside
    In memory
    No More Love
    45

Their 2nd album "Us and them" showcases how much growth and maturity the band had gone through. It's almost like a classic rock album from the seventies in terms of production, and songwriting. To hear how talented these guys can be, listen to this album.

    Heroes
    Save me
    Trade yourself in
    lady so Divine

Their 3rd album "Sound of Madness" is a real crowd pleaser. It's varied and contains some of the bands heaviest work as well as it's softest. Interesting to note on this album the bands lineup changed drastically and you can sort of here it in the songwriting but it's still a brilliant album for lovers of hard rock and radio rock.

    Devour
    Sound of madness
    Sin with a Grin
    Call me

Their 4th album "Amaryllis" continues with what SOM started although on the whole it is more refined and consistent. Probably the weakest SD album so far, but it still has some killer (if not stand out) songs on here.

    Adrenaline
    Amaryllis
    Enemies
    I'm not alright

I'll be very interested to see where they go from here, I just hope they don't get stuck in a rut and become the next Nickelback where each of there subsequent albums sounds the same. That's my biggest fear. Still I hope they prove me wrong!

Really lost interest in this band between Sound of Madness and Amaryllis. Their live show is pretty boring too, having seen them twice. Brent talks too much.

When I saw them I thought they put on a good show. I saw them shortly after Sound Of Madness came out. The only thing I would criticize is that Brent's voice gave out 3 songs in. He still tried though, and I can respect that. They kept the energy up, which was a good thing. Seether had absolutely no energy what so ever.

He talked for a good 10 minutes about rock not being dead the second time I saw them and they really weren't doing much on stage. The first time I saw them, I'm pretty sure he had a backing track that was louder than the mic.

I've heard similar stories since I saw them, a shame.
