I was just wondering if anyone else here went through something similar to this situation and if you guys could give me tips on how to cope with it. During this year my two best friends died, one was shot to death and the other was killed in a driving accident involving a drunk driver. In the driving accident my friends little brother who was 2 months at the time also died. Her boyfriend and her parents survived but they feel pretty much hopeless right now. I've tried to help them cope with it but nothing I do seems to help since I'm still mourning myself. I usually make music to make myself feel better in pretty much anything and I made a song about them and showed it to the parents. Her mom told me it was really beautiful but it just seemed to make her even more depressed then she was before so I'm not too sure if me doing that was a good or bad thing. So for now I'm just sort of keeping my distance from them i don't really know what else to do, me being around them seems to make things worse.
Some people don't like to be around others that remind them of a deceased loved one. I wouldn't stay completely away, from them, but they might need some space for a little while. Just tell them if they need anything, you're here for them. I had a period of my life where my mother and brother-in-law died within a short time of each other, so I can relate in a way. Music helped me a lot through that period as well. Just stay resilient and try to persevere as best you can. I wish you the best.
