i think about 17-18 seconds into session, when that banging thing starts, its almost exactly the same as ambient or secret, whatever you know it as ^_^

Kind of. It seems that some parts of Session were based off Ambient.

“Ambient” is the hidden track on the Hybrid Theory EP.

I agree, “Ambient” is somewhat similar to “Session,” perhaps Mike based “Session” on “Ambient” after he realized how good of a track that was.

Yes, people call it Secret because it was a secret track on the Hybrid Theory EP, but the correct title for it is Ambient.

Yeah, don't start arguing with Bryan on it not being called "Ambient" or face his wrath. Just kidding.

Ok here is my synopsis (did I spell that right )
    :p

Ok I just listened to them and realized something. They are both basically a drum track with sounds, samples, etc right
    which only means....
Session is like a more mature sounding, more evolved version of Secret/Ambient. Although LP may have never planned this, it's true.

And thats my 2 cents worth.....(im canadian so its like 1.7 cents to most of you :p)
