I can't seed torrents in µTorrent. On the status bar at the bottom, there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation point inside, and when you hover over it, it says the following:

I click it and it opens a window entiteld "µTorrent Speed Guide". currently, my internet connection speeds are as follows:

Download Speed: 2347 kbps (293.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 230 kbps (28.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

Tested with Speakeasy.net/speedtest. I then tested to see if the port 28339 was available to µTorrent, and it said it was not. If anyone has any suggestions on the steps I can take to make it so I can seed torrents, it'd be much appreciated.

    Are you using Comcast?

I wouldn't say it's a Comcast-related issue, considering how his port isn't even open. Allow an exception to your port in your firewall, then it should work.

my ISP is SBC Global. Also, I'm a n00b at everything ports, I hear the word, have NO idea what it is, and it bugs the hell outta me. I think I have to go into my router settings and open a port there?

    portforward.com

choose your router, and it'll give you directions for forwarding a port

well right now a torrent has finished, with a status of "Seeding". I also have an upload rate. does this necessarily mean that that port error doesn't matter?
