Meh, I loved BFMV when they first came out but not so much anymore. They're still pretty good though. It should be known though that Matt Tuck is a complete and utter wanker.
I'm going to scream, aim and fire at Bullet for My Valentine if this is a step backward and they take out all the screaming. Pun really fucking intended. I mean, Padge has a decent screaming voice, but Matt's is fucking awesome. It's what made The Poison so fucking great.
I won't be too upset if they toned down the screaming. I just hope they don't try to turn into Metallica or something.
Unfortunately, I think Matt has almost reached the other Matt (Heafy) levels of Metallica worship. Oh noes If this is the next Crusade, I am going to be majorly pissed.
I like The Crusade, but it's not anywhere near the same quality as Ascendancy. I mean, everyone makes fun of metalcore, but I love it a lot. If Bullet for My Valentine takes the same route as Trivium (and even Avenged Sevenfold), I'm going to go on a shooting rampage. If you hear about me on the news and everyone's claiming they don't know why I went on a killing spree, at least you'll all know.
Look, The Crusade wasn't bad but Matt Heafy's vocals are just fucking terrible. Also the really shitty thing that Trivium did was purposely change thier sound to the extent that on certain songs you'd never know they were the same band and it really pisses me off when bands do that because it's so misleading for the fans. They try so hard to be a modern day Metallica that they even shape their look to be a traditional metal look. Look at them when they first hit the scene: They looked half normal then compared to now: Heafy looks like he's trying to become a women instead of having a metal haircut. It's just annoying when bands go to these lengths to change their style. I hope BFMV don't go down the same route.
I would indeed. However they changed positively in my opinion. I mean lets face it, they can't be wearing baggy trousers and chains all their lives can they. Also the quality of music stayed the same, you wont find on any LP album that some songs are virtually ruined by the vocals or another aspect of the song. One bad thing I'd say about LP though is that they really try and shout out ''hey we've grown up now''. Like Trivium, they're trying too hard to prove something.
Matt (Heafy)'s voice sound completely terrible, just hear him, it sounds IIIIIIIIIIIHHHHHH!!! I hope that Scream, Aim, Fire will not be dissappointing cause Matt (Tuck) said that it will be heavier than The Poison. Cause for Trivium Ember to Inferno and Ascendancy were the best things they made, I heard that they made a new album with the name The Crusade, I thaught that it will be heavier, but no it sounds terrible, so if Trivium is gonna make a new album again I Hope that it will not be a Crusade II!!!!!!
... Anyways, I heard the live version of "Scream, Aim, Fire" that's going around, and Matt's singing (if you can call it that) is absolutely horrible.
To be fair, low quality live footage on youtube (not sure if this is what you're referring to though...) isn't a very fair indicator. Also, I didn't find Matt's voice bad on The Poison...so if he just sang like that I wouldn't see a problem, right?
I actually meant the fact he was singing completely differently from how he did on The Poison and he sounded like a jackass.
