Does anyone else remember the mid-'90s when Scott Weiland was actually awesome? Ugh. I miss that Scott Weiland.
This. I think VR should have gone with Myles Kennedy or Corey Taylor. I enjoyed their first album but the second was atrocious.
Put in Chester Bennigton and you will have the best rock album to come out in 25 year (the last one being Appetite of Destruction)
I saw Weiland (with STP) last year and he was ridiculously, ridiculously good. I hope this happens. Buuuut Slash has said he has heard nothing of this so who knows...
If I remember correctly, Chester actually said if he wasn't in LP he'd jump at the chance to be in VR.
Honestly, sue me for this but I've always wanted to see Chester in Alice In Chains instead of VR. VR would be a good fit, but I still think Chester would be a perfect fit for AIC's older material, and a good fit for new songs/their sound overall. But yeah VR wouldn't be too shabby either .
Chester would fit in well with AIC, but William DuVall has Layne's vocals and the harmonies with Jerry pretty much on lock.
Yeah AIC is very much about harmonies, and as we've seen, LPs live harmonising is pretty terrible... Though that's probably more Mikes fault haha. Him in VR would be amazing. Actually him and Scott need to do something together...
Well considering how busy Slash is with solo work, and Duff with Loaded, Scott should have time with STP than VR
