    My School Nights

    The sound of traffic fades,
    Clicking keyboards and rain,
    The static glare of monitors,
    On tired eyes half-awake.

    Moonlit morning lays heaven bare,
Hides the schemes of worldly thieves,
Marks the death of closet monsters,
In the deep darkness that denotes doom.

    The maid flees the dance,
    Purple elephants sway,
    Witches fly by starlight,
    Cackling at red-eyed wretches.

    The clock's rhythmic silence,
    Takes hold of conscience,
    Procrastinators' frustration,
Busy as soon as day begins.

Explanation: As I type my english homework, it becomes very late. Kids forget their fears and fall asleep. I fall asleep on my keyboard, and begin to dream. Suddenly, I jerk awake and realize I have homework to do at one a.m. . I really have no life  .
