Router Questions

i need to buy a router so i can hook my ps2 up online, and use my Xbox Connect, and i was wondering, is there like a different assortment of routers out there? like what are some good not-to expensive ones.

 

If you want to go cheap, everyone gets the D-Link 524 (which I've seen soo many times wardriving, it's almost lost it's humor). Otherwise, I'd recommend the WRTSL54GS (or WRT54GS v1, if you can find one), because of it's firmware changing capability (dd-wrt ftw.)

 

There isnt really that much difference, your just connecting two networks together. Any standard router should do, although i don't have much experience with gaming consoles.

i got one which ive had no problems with, a linksys Etherfast Cable/DSL router Model BEFSR41

 

I think I might actually have that around the house somewhere. Believe that's what I used before I switched to wireless...

 

my dad is buying the wireless attachment that is good for xbox live, so im gonna be able to get xbox live on 360
