So way back in summer '04, I got a hold of "Linkin Park garage demo" Room 105, which I later discovered on Pushmeaway.com was a fake. I can't believe I never thought of this before, but...whose is it? I know what Room 105 is NOT, so what is it? Is it a song by a Linkin Park tribute band or some contemporary or something? Does anyone know the true history behind the song or has everyone just dismissed it as an LP fake?
http://www.pushmeaway.com/songtitlesandstuff.html Listed under "NOT Linkin Park Songs." So obviously it's not related to LP, but the song didn't just appear out of a vacuum; I'd love to know who it really belongs to (even though it's really not that great).
I remember it was some independent band from the U.S. west coast, I believe they deliberately labeled it as LP on file-sharing networks to get more attention...no idea what they were called though.
Kinda random, but I saw on that site, where can I download the hightest quality of the "It's Goin Down" demo?
Yeah, that's what I figured. I got it from this CD a friend of mine bought from eBay back in '04, so I've recently realized it was probably some smaller band trying to get exposure through us. The song's not too good but I've become really interested lately in figuring who it is and what happened to them, whether distributing this song as an LP demo ever did them any good.
