Rolling Stone recently gave information regarding Linkin Park's upcoming release A Thousand suns. The article quotes Chester, the co-producer of the album Rick Rubin and gives insight into how the album will sound.

"A Thousand Suns might be Linkin Park's most eclectic yet — with lyrics that address everything from the recession to the conflicts in the Middle East. One untitled track mixes Nine Inch Nails-style industrial punk with dreamy synth washes, while another lays a heavy hip-hop beat beneath Bennington's heartfelt vocal performance."

To read the entire article, click here. It has some interesting words from Rubin as well as Chester hinting at a possible follow-up to A Thousand Suns, earlier than we think.

Very exciting indeed. The band seem so pumped about this album too, Chester's passion for their current music is something to be excited about.

wow, that sounds awesome! Guess it isn't a true concept album since lyrics seem to be going everywhere. and alright! a follow up album already....but Chester did say that for MTM too. So not going to get my hopes up knowing LP. But with how Chester's describing the album and The Catalyst preview...this album IS going to blow my mind!

Yeah, there won't be a follow-up very early I suspect, they will tour the shit out of this record. I just have to write the news like it's written in the article, I don't necessarily believe it.

Chester said this in that Rolling Stone article.

This excites me more than hearing these snippets from The Catalyst.
Just the fact that Linkin Park is still feeling the urge to create music is a big thumbs up in my book. I can't wait to see where they go musically after this album comes out.

This may be a bad thing, really bad actually. But I have EXTREMELY high expectations for this album. I can't help it even tho I will regret it! I have faith that LP will still meet/shatter my high hopes.

My excitement is high, but I'm keeping my expectations minimal, if that makes any sense.
