Ripping Audio off of Videos

    How do you rip audio off of videos?

    There are 2 main ways of doing this:

    1. Go into Volume Control, check the options and on Record Control, make sure the box for Stereo Mix (or whichever one your soundcard is) is checked, then go into an audio editing program, hit record, and then play the video on a media player.

    2. Go into the audio editor, and look for an option along the lines of "Insert audio from video file," click on it, and select the video you want.

    In both cases, all you have to do is save the resulting sound wave as an mp3/wav/whatever. Option 2 results in a little better sound quality, since it's directly taken from the video instead of being re-ripped through your soundcard first.

    Use virtualdub and save the .wav and convert it to mp3
