A bit old news on all of 'em, but I didn't see any of 'em posted so I thought I'd give some links... Ringer http://www.ringer-music.com/ This band has lots of members from bands you may have heard of. It features Mike from Coal Chamber, Paige from Orgy, Kraig (I believe...) from Crazy Town, Carlton from Deadsy, and two guys from 16volt (the singer and guitarist, if I'm not mistaken). There are a few songs to check out there, and I like 'em all alot. "Okay Okay" reminds me a bit of Crystal Method's newest single, and "Picture" reminds me a tad of "Minerva" by the Deftones, but other than that the songs are all pretty original. It has a weird techno-rock vibe to it... not like Orgy, but you'll understand what I mean when you listen! Ontronik http://www.ontronik.com/sounds/sounds.html Ontronik is the former singer from Apex Theory (Andy K). It's a solo project, but it's very original-sounding. The beats are all made in Pro Tools, but they don't sound completely distorted or anything. You should notice some collaborations there, too (such as "Keep On", which features Alien Ant Farm's vocalist -- my favorite song there). VoKee http://www.vokeemusic.com/ VoKee is Andy's new band (read: not solo project... "group", as Eminem may say ). I haven't heard anything from it yet, but the site's supposed to be up soon. I heard the live show rocked, too. One Side Zero's bassist is in the band, too. Vessel http://www.apextheory.com/ "Vessel" is supposed to be the new name for Apex Theory. Art, the guitarist, is going to be doing the vocals. They had a few rough songs up (the instrumentals rocked, as you'd expect from Apex Theory) before, but since they were dropped in Dreamwork's merger they're no longer available (Dreamworks hosted the songs). The vocals on the three songs weren't bad or good, but it was hard to tell from the demo recordings. "Vessel" may not be the final name, but that's what I've heard from a friend of the band... Whew, hope you all like! Also, one last thing: SR-71 has a new record coming out soon. I got the EP with "Axl Rose", "All American" and "Here We Go Again". All three songs rocked, so I'm expecting their best record yet (not saying much, to be honest, since the last two were hit-and-miss on songs).
I was just listening to SR-71 earlier and learned about their new record. They need to find a studio and producer and get working on it!
Actually, I believe it's done The drummer and singer produced it... they both produced the "Axl Rose" EP (which I bought) and it sounds great. They're great producers... the album's called "Here We Go Again" (a song from the EP... it's a good song!) and will be out overseas somewhere sometime this month, I think. I'm not sure about the US, though... I'm hoping soon, though, because the EP sounded amazing. I'm still mad their original guitarist left, though... he had some amazing talent
Oh, yeah. I read whatever I read wrong. Yeah, I can't wait for it. I didn't know their guitarist left, though! -edit- Typoooo.
Yep, unfortunately he left He had some great solos, though ("Hello, Hello", "In My Mind", "Lucky", "Right Now")! Their new guitarist is good, though. They have a "dual solo" (is that possible? ) on "Here We Go Again". It's pretty cool

I always thought it was just one wicked solo. As for those other bands, I checked out Ringer. They're awesome!
