Many of you may remember early last week, an article being posted around the Linkin Park fan sites concerning the new studio record and The Mall Soundtrack. Due to the article being published early by Yahoo!, it was yanked from the internet and regrettably fan sites had to follow suit. The article has been a topic of great discussion on social media, and many fans have been searching high and low for the original deleted article.

Luckily; it now appears as if the article is back online, and it contains some great information concerning the band's upcoming Mall Soundtrack:

The article goes on to further discuss the new album, the upcoming Stone Temple Pilots EP, and what fans can expect from the band in the near future.

More information can be found here.

Mentions Chester's vocals on the soundtrack but not Mike's, which I find weird as I think the film is to be dark and Mike has a voice that suits that more aptly in my opinion. Also, Mike probably wouldn't have to worry about singing any of the songs live so I don't see why he wouldn't take part...

If you're not a hardxcore fan, Chester's singing voice is the more recognisable one within the band.

EDIT: Also, as THE STARKINATOR says below, they might have just mentioned Chester specifically because he gave the interview.

    1) On the Yahoo! pic: Go home Phoenix, you're drunk :kappa:

    2) Why is LP working with another drummer for Mall soundtrack? OMG ROB IS LEAVING THE BAND :doublekappa:

There was little information on the actual article, but just enough to remind us that the projects are solidly on course, all three of them (Mall, LP6 and STP EP). It's still a welcome piece of info though. Since all are being worked on at the same time, I would expect things to be slower than usual, but I would hope that in the next couple of months things start shaping up.

That bit, not quite right, because A Light That Never Comes is a Steve Aoki song FEATURING Chester and Mike, not LP ft. Steve :p

He does handles most of the keyboard hooks live so you could call Hahn a keyboardist and be right

Of course, it's a concern, but it also could boost the guys' creativity and while trying ideas with one project they might come up with new things for the other.. I think it's possible.
