If non-studio albums count, I would say the most hyped release was Collision Course. -- Regarding the title, after 'Robot Boy', I shall not be mislead again.
i don't expect that this song will be heavy in the GATS or Qwerty meaning. I'd rather expect something that's heavy to share with others, some painful thoughts, lyrics about personal fears, I would rather make a quess it will be something close to My December mixed with Numb but still I don't think that the band will return to their pre-2005 style. .
I feel like as far as the sound of this album, its going to be a really mainstream sound. Like still Linkin Park but really mainstream. You'll hear it on a rock station and on a station that plays stuff like the chainsmokers. Just my feeling. Could be completely wrong
I have the feeling that this album will be in the vein of Paramore's Self-Titled Album. God, that album was so impressive. Different, refreshing, new style.
Wow thanks so much! I never saw this, I can't wait to see what happens with those other titles now, I'm stoked!
This single name is like a big "Fuck you" to those who would still be expecting heavy music "Sure there is heavy stuff on the record!" Well, let's see.
You missed my point. Hymn for the weekend featured Beyonce vocals and also had her in the video. But it was never called "Hymn for the weekend ft Beyonce". LP could do the same. Or it could also be like guilty all the same. GATS title was known before the release but it didn't show any featured artist. And once LP released the song, the title had "ft rakim" I actually thought the same. The ultimate troll from Mike." Hey, all you old LP fans come and listen to our new song 'Heavy'. Oops sorry, there is nothing heavy about it"
You can chech this post (last April, omg) where Broman read some titles out of an Instagram post. BTW, a shoutout to Forfeit to Break for this post, if the Piano video turns out to be 'Heavy'
I feel like we're going to get a lot of WFTE-esque songs on this album. Could be bad. Could be great. Personally, I'm stoked.
I have a feeling that everyone is going to expect one thing, and get another. Just like with every Linkin Park album since Minutes To Midnight. Seriously...apart from THP where the band went out of their way to describe the sound, since when have fans EVER got it right with an LP album?
Spot on haha. Reminds me of the build up to MTM where the description of Bleed It Out was the result of an "Accident", where the riff was supposedly sounding something like AC/DC would do.
I would love that, WFTE is my favourite LP song buuuut I think they're going more into an indie style. Personally I'd love them to go dream pop, but I think we're getting something like this:
