Tonight Linkin Park will be performing CASTLE OF GLASS at the Spike TV Video Game Awards. This will be the song's live debut. Mike, on his blog today, hinted at a possible Medal of Honor theme during tonight's performance. The awards will start at 9:00PM EST and will be hosted by actor Samuel L. Jackson. Also, CASTLE OF GLASS is nominated for "Best Song in a Game" so hopefully Linkin Park can win another award! After tonight's performance the band will be getting ready for the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show for tomorrow night. If a video of tonight's performance surfaces we'll be sure to update this thread. Will anybody be watching tonight? Let us know in our forums! It's on Spike.com, guys. http://www.spike.com/articles/5n3ky4/video-game-awards-experience-vga-10-on-spike-com-and-xbox-live I assume it will update soon with more info.
I'm sorry. I suck at being helpful. Edit: Here's Kotaku's link as well. http://kotaku.com/5966759/watch-the...dium=recirculation&utm_campaign=recirculation
I love how LP is pretty much the "featured performer" on this show, they're performing the song from Medal of Honor, and that song/game is up for an award...and Kotaku is one of the places with a stream for it. Oh, the irony.
Kotaku did nothing but rip on LP/Medal of Honor/Castle of Glass from the moment their partnership was announced.
I love how right in the beginning the first audience member you see when the camera pans over is mike shinoda! Ahhh it was wonderful.
VGA SETLIST: CASTLE OF GLASS (Intro Mess-up; Live Debut) Show Notes: - Linkin Park was nominated for 'Best Song In Game' for 'CASTLE OF GLASS'. - Chester, Mike, Phoenix and Brad all sang on 'CASTLE OF GLASS'. Debuts: - 'CASTLE OF GLASS' Will update the show note if they win. Jesus FUCK that was amazing
A couple slip ups, but so happy they performed it finally! I got chills. Did anyone else think the audio was crappy? The way it was mixed I mean.
To be honest, I don't want them to win. The VGA's may be worthless but Medal of Honor doesn't deserve any recognition, least of all for tying a completely unrelated song to their jingoistic piece of shit.
