The Red Hot Chili Peppers will release their upcoming tenth studio album, "I'm With You," on Aug. 30. "I'm With You" was produced by Rick Rubin, who has produced the band's previous five albums, 2006's "Stadium Arcadium," 2002's "By The Way," 1999's "Californication," 1995's "One Hot Minute," and 1991's "Blood Sugar Sex Magik." Red Hot Chili Peppers is now singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogsburger/51953098-53/hot-album-chili-peppers.html.csp
Hmmm, this is interesting. To be honest, I wasn't really into Stadium Arcadium, so I'll be pretty skeptical about this release.
Stadium Arcadium was hit or miss. There's so many amazing songs on there, but also some of them are pretty shitty.
To listen to Stadium Arcadium is much like listening to Limp Bizkit. You have to completely ignore Fred Durst and Anthony Keidis and listen to the instrumentation. There is some ridiculously stunning guitar work going on there, and I'm sure Josh won't disappoint with the band's latest outing. Keidis is definitely the weakest link in the band.
I don't know, he might be the weakest link but I still wouldn't put Keidis and Durst in the same basket haha
Put faith into Josh. He was a live guitarist for the band during the Stadium Arcadium tour, has worked with Frusciante on many of John's solo efforts, and was recommended by Frusciante himself.
Didn't like a great deal of Stadium Arcadium and Frusciante was probably the best thing about the band imo, I'll give this the benefit of the doubt for now though.

I find it funny when people are worried about John leaving but didn't like Stadium Arcadium that much because, while he wrote a lot of their hits, he had a huge influence on that record from the start. He wrote a bunch of those songs all by himself before the rest of the band even heard them. And Shikshak, there is an unmastered version that is not squashed to hell out there. You should definitely get it.
The same could be said about By The Way as well. Their most recent albums were both Frusciante-lead records.
No you can't. So it shall be written, "Doth appreciate Frusciante, doth shall enjoy the albums prior, two in count, of the Red Peppers of Hot Chili variety." And it was good.
Yes you can. I like John Frusciante. However, I think Stadium Arcadium was very hit or miss as a double album and they could've just picked the 10-15 best songs and made a good single abum. So there.
