Okay, So I have an Hybrid Theory EP & It's sealed. What I want to know is, is there any way to tell if it's the re-issue or original just by looking at the front & back cover? I'm guessing and expecting it to be the LPU re-release just because it's sealed & I wouldn't imagine LP sending out the originals with a seal. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
It's most likely the re-release. But I wouldn't know if there's supposed to be something on it which would show that.
As far as I know, the only way to tell is to look at the booklet and see if it mentions Linkin Park or not...
1) The originals WERE sealed, but only a few have surfaced still sealed. I still cringe when I think about the poor guy who had an eBay auction a few years back... Had an original, sealed, but had to open it before his bidders would believe it was an original. Which leads me to my next bit of info: On the back of the reissue, it will list the 'Produced By' credit to Mike Shinoda, the original will list Hybrid Theory. 2) All LPU reissues come factory sealed, the only exceptions being those issued to the first 500 LPU members which had to be opened to be signed. Among the other differences between the 2: Cover art is slightly darker on the reissue. (At least on mine) Original has the quote on the inside cover. (After eight months...) Insert art on the original has what's commonly referred to as the 'X-ray' art on the inside while the reissue has mention to Linkin Park and the LPU.
That's strange. When I joined the LPU, I joined just before year two was launching. My copy of the EP was not factory-sealed and I was definitely not one of the first 500 members. I wonder if they just stopped sealing them.
*cough* Well... Is the one you have an original or reissue? BTW, good timing on your current eBay auctions. Not sure you'll get those amounts for them, but you never know.
Haha, I know. I probably won't but I thought I will sell some of my doubles etc. It's a reissue. Produced by Mike Shinoda. Damn. Oh well.
Just a tip - Lower the starting bids and set a reserve. Might just get a few bidders that way. I've been thinking of selling off some of the doubles in my collection (a few signed CDs, the 2 track HT tape among others) but I don't have the patience to list them all at once...
Haha, as much as it would warm my heart knowing that my LP Cd's went to somebody who I like. I'm too low on cash to just give them away. Sorry.
Jut out of curiousity, what other ones do you have extras of? I'm always looking to fill holes in my collection...
Amanda; I'm selling a few of my rare CD's over at eBay. I don't want to post a link because I didn't create this thread to get some cheap bids in. You understand how it is. nkramar; I only have doubles of the ones posted on Ebay. I'm going to put up all of LP's singles and a few promos etc later on too. Although, I'm sure you'll probably have all of those anyway.
