Do you know the style of instrumental that Mike helped cook up for "RAZORS.OUT"? I feel like that was a preview to Living Things, or at least a few tracks on Living Things, but that's not even close to what we got. While that's never a bad thing, I feel like the whole dark, distorted, glitch feel could've work on a song (ex. Lost In The Echo, In My Remains) and I would like to hear more of what Mike could do with it. I know they made a video of new instruments and techniques they were playing with, but none of those cool sounds were used. I'm hoping we get to hear more of that on the next album if they are still using a heavy electronic-influenced sound. Thoughts?
I can them working that sound into the background like they always sort of do but on Living Things it wasnt as easy to hear for some reason due to what I think was something that happened in the mastering. Oh well.
Am I the only one that tinks Burn it Down sounds exactly like RAZORS.OUT? The structure, the drums that build up to the instrumental before the verse, the synth in BID is like a happier version of the one in RAZORS.OUT, only thing that's missing is the epic breakdown that Razors has and BID is missing.
You're forgetting the most important part ... RAZORS.OUT (Cool Dude Remix) RAZORS.OUT (Thug RemiX) R4AZORS.0UT (gangtahrmx) RAZORS.OUT (Burn It Down Remix) RAZORZ.OUT (streelamp remiX) razors.out (#swag remix) Razors.OUT (BRNITDWNrmx) BRAZZERS.OUT (lol remix) RAZORS.OUT / BURN IT DOWN (mash-up) RAZORS.OUT / BURN IT DOWN (mash-up) (Remix)
I think that the lo-fi aesthetic which characterises "RAZORS.OUT" is definitely noticeable in songs throughout "Living Things".
