This dude is very, very good now. He's moved way past covers and is making awesome music.

I like his In Viridian project a lot. Not so much into Razor Red Noise though.

I have all the Razor Red Noise stuff ( including a physical copy of The Ghost City, nicely signed by Alex himself because I pre-ordered :D ) but I haven't really checked out the In Viridian stuff yet.

I'd recommend you do. His new EP (due out in 3 days) sounds awesome.

Alex has always been pretty decent, but he'd really benefit from a professional studio/full band behind him.

Insane how much this kid mirrors Chester at spots. Kind of eerie.

Get on the bass Derek! ;)

The new In Viridian album is very good. Beneath Darker Skies and Pyre are the two main standout songs out of the seven.

I don't think a pro studio is necessary, I just wish he'd mix his guitars differently and the drum samples on anything before The Ghost City were lackluster and they could still be better yet.

Better how? The drum samples sound high quality now I think.

The snare bugs me, that's actually pretty much the only sample I have an issue with. Toms, kick, and cymbals all sound great.

Pyre has just taken me out of this world. I can't get over it.

Also, I agree with the guitar mixing part.
