Gives me some Florence and the Machine vibes somehow and the beat is quite infectious, but I doubt this will be as significant as Florence, since this kind of music has had its time in the spotlight. The lyrics are a bit too simple and the chorus is too repetitive, so a strong 6/10.
I feel like I've heard that song many times before. It's well produced and all, good vocal performance. Almost Linkin Park-ish in some regards. Like it wouldn't be out of place on Living Things, but with a female vocalist. 6/10. Speaking of female vocalists... Do! They're super obscure, basically a part-time band, but I think they really deserve to be heard more. That song is from the album Bones of Brave Ships, I think that's easily their best album. They should have a new album out later this year called Murmuration.
Really liked hear clean vocals and the balance between the clean vocals and the growls, even though I didn't enjoy the growls all that much (I prefer Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy, even though they're not all that consistent outside of the singles and she doesn't use clean vocals for the most part and overall there are better female singers out there), but it also felt like this song doesn't have a good melody on the heavier parts like some Arch Enemy songs do, even though it has a nice melody on the slower parts. Lyrically good as well, but could have been cut down to about 3:30 to 4 minutes. 6/10
Really weird song, the beats are weak and the vocals aren't all that special either. For good electropop I go to CHVRCHES, Purity Ring, Fickle Friends and Bjork to some extent 5/10
4/10 There's a time where I could have liked this, but not anymore (plus I am not a fan of that screaming at all)
4/10 A bit too slow-paced for my liking and the melody wasn't particularly interesting for me, I am not biased against that genre
7.8/10 The vocals wasn't quite my favorite and left something to be desired but the guitar work fantastic and really hit the spot for me
