I could never quite get into Pain of Salvation. Bands like them always seemed like cheap Dream Theater clones to me, more than anything. 5/10 The production certainly doesn't help either.
Seriously, what in the fuck is going on with the mixing?! It's so confusing. I had to adjust the volume several times. Is it actually mixed like that or is it a weird YouTube upload? Otherwise I appreciate this, even though it's not my kind of music. 7/10 Recorded by American rock musician Jim James for the 2016 collaborative project 30 Days, 30 Songs in protest of Donald Trump's then-possible eventual election.
Not bad. 7/10 The album that song is off of is notorious for its mixing issues. The album was originally supposed to come out in 2006/2007, but got constantly delayed due to the complexity of the mix, and tech issues. The first half, "Time I," came out in 2012, with the promise of Time II in 2013. It still hasn't been released, due to the frontman's unhappiness with the mix for Time I, which he regrets ever putting out.
I appreciate how the vocals on this track are a lot more raw than their latter material. 6/10 Just okay though. Song starts at 10:05.
That was a really fucking good cover. 9/10 I love it when a cover reimagines the original song, rather than just straight playing it.
That was somehow both unique, and kinda generic. 7/10 https://worldgalaxyrecords.bandcamp.com/track/take-the-time-feat-thundercat
7/10 pretty good! this song is the anthem from the Women's March...I guess...I was just wondering what you guys thought of it
The tempo changing and production was pretty good but those fucking lyrics and screaming... eugh 5/10 https://soundcloud.com/upscale-recordings/false-noise-sky-shards
