Kacey Musgraves 1 Golden Hour 2 Same Trailer Different Park 3 Pageant Material Pageant Material feels a bit lackluster and sometimes cringy, so no more than a 7. Same Trailer I'd give it an 8,5 or a 9 at best. Better production, songwriting and vocals, but not quite whre she could go. As to Golden Hour, I gave it a 9,2 after some listens. It built on everything great that Same Trailer had and added a wonderful production and some beautiful vocals all throughout, just missing on one track that felt out of context and the opening of other track where the robotic voice is not good. I hope it will stay in the my best 2018 albums for long.
Ensiferum 1 Ensiferum 2 Iron 3 Victory Songs 4 From Afar 5 One Man Army 6 Two Paths 7 Unsung Heroes Wintersun 1 Time I 2 Wintersun 3 The Forest Seasons Since Jari is/was in both bands I thought it was kinda fitting to do both at the same time! I enjoy all post Jari Ensiferum albums, but not as much as the first two (Ensiferum and Iron) Victory Songs and From Afar come really close though.
Breaking Benjamin 1 Phobia 2 Dark Before Dawn 3 Dear Agony 4 We Are Not Alone 5 Saturate 6 [Unless the deep cuts improve massively, Ember is destined to be number 6] Difficult choice between 1 and 2 and even 3 and 4, which accounts for a very solid discography that will likely be a bit stained by the upcoming record. Dear Agony seems more well written and produced than We Are Not Alone, having a stellar second half and very good first half. As to Phobia and Dark Before Dawn, I find them structurally identical and both very impactful. I could do a top 30 Breaking Benjamin soon, probably after Ember is released, but seemingly no song from Ember will be there if it keeps going this way. Even a top 30 would be difficult to make, because I would have to narrow it down from about 40 songs to only 30. Side note: As to my BMTH rank, I now regard Sempiternal as the best.

30 Seconds to Mars: 1. A Beautiful Lie 2. Love, Lust, Faith + Dreams 3. AMERICA 4. This Is War 5. 30 Seconds to Mars Still debating the placement between This is War and America, need more time to do so. This is War has a lot of their best songs but the album overall is incomplete and has filler to me where as the highs of America aren't nearly as good but the album is consistent.

Epica 1 The Quantum Enigma 2 The Holographic Principle [what's better between 1 and 2 depends on the days] 3 Consign To Oblivion 4 Requiem For The Indifferent [it could be fighting for no1 if it had a much better production] 5 The Phantom Agony [the highs are really high, but the lows are ok at best, thankfully they only play the best from this one live] 6 Design Your Universe [the highs are quite good, but the lows are ok or bad] 7 The Divine Conspiracy [only 5 songs I like excluding intros and interludes] Their EP doesn't count because it's short and I expected much more, basically it was just some throw-away songs from THP I thank them for not having included in the record.
