I thought Tentacruel was badass before it was cool to like it. And Eevee will ALWAYS be my favorite. There was this fan-made picture of how Eevee's other evolutions that haven't been explored may look like. It was my profile picture for like EVER.

 

I do hope we get more eevees. We didn't get any last time.

I didn't like Tentacruel as a kid. But then my tastes changed. Used to think Fearow was boring. Now I like it. A lot of pokemon I hated until I saw how they were animated in 3D. Then again I am an animation nerd.

I feel sooooooo out of date (I am actually) because all I pretty much now is the R/B/Y and G/S (< and I'm no expert on these). But it's interesting to read your conversation

 

Yeah I have Pokemon White for my 3DS.. It's fun, but just not the same as R/B/Y xD

 

I like Fearow. I always name mine Pharaoh.

I usually switch between Fearow and Dodrio. Because three-headed bird. Yes, I know, tiers. But I make an exception in this case.

Normally, I don't breed for specific natures, but because each one of Eevee's evolutions specializes in a specific stat, I wanted to make sure the natures matched.

My teams never look like what you'd expect. I only use Pokémon I think are cool or even worth having. I have a complete Pokédex in Platinum, so I bred a lot of the Pokémon I wanted and traded them over to HeartGold in order to breed for specific move lists. As a result, I've got a box full of Pokémon that have unique move lists. It took a long time and a lot of chain-breeding, though.

For example, my Bulbasaur knows Leaf Storm, Petal Dance, Power Whip and Sludge Bomb. It can learn Sludge Bomb via TM, but the other moves I had to breed to it. It got Leaf Storm from one of my Sceptile, Petal Dance from one of my Vileplume and Power Whip from one of my Tangrowth. Like I said, it took a lot of chain-breeding, but it was worth it, especially to have those moves.

I also don't manipulate the RNG unless I'm going for a specific shiny Pokémon, like a legendary, or a starter. I've got a shiny Charmander on my FireRed game right now, and I've been going for a shiny Magikarp from the Magikarp salesman in Mount Moon. That's the only time I soft-reset or attempt to manipulate the RNG, though.
